“Rising Stars proves young artists belong on the same world class stage we adults dream about…By night, Zodiac and Dark Ballet will shake the rafters and our collective conscience.”

On June 28th, Good Karma Studios and Peak Music Studios will be lighting up The Egg Performing Arts Center with a special double header that is sure to change lives in more ways than one. Good Karma Studios promises a mix of aerial skills, heavy metal ballet, live music, and jaw dropping visuals at the “Rising Stars” Youth Showcase and the Aerial Dance of the Zodiac featuring Dark Ballet: After Dark.

The “Rising Stars” Youth Showcase highlights emerging vocalists, guitarists, and beginner aerialists from Peak Music and Good Karma sharing the stage for the very first time—proving courage is ageless. This all-ages afternoon show starts at 4:00 PM, making it easy for families to join in on experiencing the budding talent.

Later in the evening, the studio’s Aerial Dance of the Zodiac featuring Dark Ballet: After Dark takes the stage at 7:00 PM. This unique performance brings all twelve of the astrological signs to life through aerial hoop, rope, pole, and silks, framed by Far Eye Visual Arts’ immersive projections. Dark Ballet delivers a 30-minute fusion of heavy metal, ballet, and aerials that grapples with suicide, trauma imposed silence, and the hard won passage from despair to resilient joy. Spendwood School of Dance masters the classical edge to an enticing performance.

“Rising Stars proves young artists belong on the same world class stage we adults dream about,” says Crystal Dea Moore, managing director of Dark Ballet and co-owner of Peak Music Studios. “By night, Zodiac and Dark Ballet will shake the rafters and our collective conscience.”

While displaying the talents of young aerialists and Dark Ballet’s performers, the proceeds from Good Karma Studio’s double header will go to four need-based student scholarships for the 2025-2026 season, keeping music and aerial training accessible. Along with expanding access to the arts, Rising Stars and Aerial Dance of the Zodiac will also raise funds for two local nonprofits. Building on Love is an organization that provides cash grants to families that are struggling with a child’s life-altering illness. Precious Souls is a new nonprofit working to break the cycle of child abuse through education, awareness, and family support.

“This event is more than a performance—it’s a catalyst for change,” says Jessica Lubin, owner of Good Karma Studio. “Art, community, and compassion collide to create ripples that outlast any applause.”

Good Karma’s double header promises an event that you won’t forget, showcasing how art and music can change a community.

Tickets are available for both the “Rising Stars” Youth Showcase and Aerial Dance of the Zodiac feat. Dark Ballet: After Dark (18 +) at TheEgg.org
